Mars Hill, NC – Pat
Harrington has been named as the new assistant
lacrosse coach at Mars Hill College, head
lacrosse coach Brian Anken announced this
afternoon. Harrington will begin his duties
immediately.
Harrington came to MHC
from St. Lawrence University (SLU) where
he served as a graduate assistant coach
for the 2004-05 seasons. During his stint
at SLU, he aided his squad in obtaining
the conference regular season title. For
their accomplishments, the SLU staff was
tabbed the Upstate Collegiate Athletic
Association (UCAA) Coaching Staff of the
Year.
Harrington competed for
Nazareth College as an attackman. Harrington
helped lead Nazareth to a pair of back-to-back
appearances in the NCAA D-III Championship
semifinals.
Harrington graduated from
Nazareth in 2002 with a B.S. degree in
Business Administration. He then received
his M. Ed. from SLU in 2005. Harrington
is single and resides in Mars Hill.
