 WINGATE, N.C.----Mars Hill junior attack Danny Farmer (Calgary, Alberta) is this week’s Deep South Conference Offensive Player of the Week. MHC junior midfielder Brent Hann (Fallston, Md.) is the Defensive Player of the Week, while Chris Cudmore (Whitby, Ontario) is the Freshman of the Week, league officials announced Monday.
Farmer led MHC to an 11-4 win at Wingate to clinch sole possession of the DSC regular season title. He scored five goals and added three assists in the road victory. Farmer also collected three ground balls on the afternoon, as he wins Player of the Week honors for the third time this season.
 Hann helped anchor the Mars Hill defense in the victory at Wingate. He won 15-of-18 face offs and picked up 12 ground balls. Hann was the main reason why MHC held Wingate to four goals, winning 83 percent of the face offs on the afternoon.
Cudmore held the attackman he was guarding to zero points in the victory at Wingate, as he helped hold the Bulldogs to their lowest offensive output of the season. Cudmore also had four caused turnovers and four ground balls. This is the third time this season that Cudmore has been named DSC Freshman of the Week.
