MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill lacrosse team jumped one spot in the recent United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Poll, executive director John Spring announced today. The Lions are now ranked No. 7 in the nation in the Week Seven Poll.
Mars Hill outscored Wingate University 9-2 in the second half en route to an 11-4 Deep South Conference victory Saturday afternoon. Mars Hill completes its 2009 Deep South Conference slate and clinches the regular season championship in the process. The Lions will host Pfeiffer Wednesday at Meares Stadium at 4 p.m.
