 ETOWAH, N.C. - The men's golf team finished tied for ninth place yesterday after the final round of the Aramark Collegiate Invite. The team of five players totaled a score of 310. Tuesday’s final round of the 36-hole event was rained out, leaving Monday’s only round as the final results.
Josh Spalding (Weaverville, N.C.) finished tied for sixth overall. He scored a 35 on the back nine holes to end the day with a total of 72.
Nate Lockey (Brantford, Ontario, Canada) fired a 78, including a 37 on the back nine, to finish tied for 44th overall.
Brevard leads all participating schools after day one. Its team of five players tallied a 291. Rylan Lanham of Western Carolina leads all individuals after day one with a total score of 69 (33-36).
