HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Lions' men's golf team placed eighth out of 11 teams at the Lincoln Memorial Classic Fall Invitational. Josh Spalding (Weaverville, N.C.) finished tied for second after a two-round score of 141. Spalding's 69 in the first round was his lowest score of the season.
Not far behind Spalding was Nate Lockey (Brantford, Ontario) who finished tied for seventh overall with a 145 shooting (77+68).
Both Spalding and Lockey were named to the All Tournament Team for their performances.
Chase Lippard (Hickory, N.C.) totaled a 157 (82+75), Lucas Kruk (Mars Hill, N.C.) scored a 161 (86+75) and Davin Good (Candler, N.C.) compiled a 169 (98+81).
MHC recorded a team score of 604.
