SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Lions' men's golf team placed fifth at the SMC Invitational. Nate Lockey (Brantford, Ontario) led the Lions for the third straight event this season with a two-round score of 145 (73+72). Lockey finished tied for third in the event and was named to the All Tournament Team.
Josh Spalding (Weaverville, N.C.) followed in sixth place with a 148 shooting (73+75). Chase Lippard (Hickory, N.C.) totaled a 161, Brandon Johnson (Lenoir, N.C.) scored a 167 and Davin Good (Candler, N.C.) compiled a 169.
MHC recorded a team score of 621 in the two day event.
