Carson FacklerHUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The women's and men's swim teams concluded the Appalachian Swimming and Diving Conference Championships Saturday at Marshall University. The men's team finished in second place with 646 points. The women's team finished in third place with 448 points.

The men's team won six of nine events. Carson Fackler (Bakersfield, Calif.) won the 400 Yard Individual Medley in 4:18.71 and 100 Yard Backstroke in 54.45 seconds. Ed Smith (Blairsville, Ga.) won the 200 Yard Breaststroke in 2:10.43. Mike Wilkes won the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 21.79 seconds. Fackler, Smith, Wilkes and PJ Maloney (Corning, N.Y.) teamed to win the 200 Yard Medley Relay in 1:39.67 and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay in 3:13.00.

On the women's side, Lena Palo (Lexington, S.C.) won the One Mile race in 18:36.46.
