Carson FacklerHUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Carson Fackler (Bakersfield, Calif.) and Head Coach Teddy Guyer won top individual awards following this weekend's Appalachian Swimming and Diving Conference Championships. Fackler was named Appalachian Conference Swimmer of the Year. Guyer was named Appalachian Conference Coach of the Year.

Fackler turned in outstanding performances all season long for the Lions. On the first day of competition at the conference meet, he won the 200 Yard Backstroke in 1:57.36 and the 400 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 3:37.92. Today he won the 400 Yard Individual Medley in 4:18.71, 100 Yard Backstroke in 54.45 seconds, 200 Yard Medley Relay in 1:39.67 and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay in 3:13.00.

Teddy GuyerGuyer guided both squads to undefeated regular seasons in 2008-09. The women's team was 9-0, and the men went 8-0. With Guyer at the helm, the women's team has posted a 38-3 overall record in four seasons, while the men have sported a 16-1 overall record in two seasons.
