MILLIGAN, Tenn. - The Mars Hill College swim teams competed in their first meet of the year, winning in dominating fashion over Milligan College. The women won nine out of 11 events in outscoring Milligan 139 to 52 and the men won eight out of 11 events and won 126 to 74.

The women’s top performer was Lena Palo with wins in the 100 and 200 freestyle and the 400 free relay. Other winners where Katie Brasche, Brittany Butler, Rebekah Thomas, Ana Chocarro, Tiffany Golding,  and Nikki Holt.

On the men’s side two swimmers placed first in three events. P.J. Maloney in the 1000 freestyle, 400 freestyle, and 400 free relay; and Ed Smith in the 100 fly, 100 breaststroke, and 200 medley relay. Other winners where Carson Fackler, Brian Viens, Mike Wilkes, Yonatan Arnold, and Luke Hoffman.

Mars Hill will compete at the University of the South Invititational on November 7-8.
