 HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team sits in eighth place after the first round of the Lenoir-Rhyne/Catawba Intercollegiate on Monday.
Samantha Patton (Morganton, N.C.) leads the Lions' squad and is in 24th place overall after firing a total of 96. Dani Gardner (Solvang, Calif.) is in 28th place overall after day one with a total score of 100.
Final round action will conclude Tuesday afternoon at the Lake Hickory Golf Course.
