Jonas RandolphROCK HILL, S.C. - For the second consecutive week, Mars Hill College running back Jonas Randolph received an honor from the South Atlantic Conference office. He was named SAC Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week along with Carson-Newman quarterback Alex Good.

Randolph, a sophomore from Daleville, Ala., rushed for 232 yards with a pair of first-half touchdowns in a 14-12 victory over No. 13-ranked Catawba and the nation's top defense. The 44 rushes broke Randolph's previous school record of 43 rushing attempts set against St. Augustine's College on September 12, 2009.

Wingate safety Tylan Merkerson was named Defensive Player of the Week. Carson-Newman kicker Carlos Lopez was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Mars Hill will host Carson-Newman on Saturday. Kickoff from Meares Stadium is set for 1:30 p.m.
