Stoney PoliteMARS HILL, N.C. - With 12 points on Saturday against Catawba, Stoney Polite moved past Eddie Miller (1315 points) into 11th place on the Mars Hill men's basketball all-time scoring list. The Morganton, N.C., native currently has 1,316 points and sits 62 points behind Mike Kelly (1,378 points) for 10th all-time.

 

Brittini YoungWith 17 points against Catawba this past Saturday, Brittini Young became the 23rd Mars Hill women's basketball player to surpass 1,000 points scored in a career. Young, from Ramseur, N.C., currently sits 12 points behind Jackie Shelton (1,026 career points) for 22nd place on the list.

 

Danny SandersDanny Sanders is approaching the 1,000 point club. Sanders, who hails from Shelby, N.C., is 169 points away from the 1,000 point plateau in only his second season with the Lions.

The Mars Hill women's and men's basketball teams will host Wingate on Wednesday inside Stanford Arena. The women's game will tip at 6 p.m. The men's game will start at 8 p.m.
