 MARS HILL, N.C. - Junior captain Aaron Thomas leads the Mars Hill men's cross country team back to the NCAA Division II National Championship Cross Country Meet this Saturday after a one year absence. The 10K race will be held at the University of Southern Indiana.
"We are all very focued and confident," remarked Thomas, a native of Seminole, Fla. "It's been a goal of this team all season to make the national championship race. We deserve to be here. This team wants to prove to the nation that Mars Hill is a national caliber program, and everyone should respect the Lions."
Twenty-four Division II men's teams from across the country will vie for the title as best in the nation beginning at 1 p.m.
