MARS HILL, N.C. - Defending South Atlantic Conference Champion Mars Hill is ranked fourth in the preseason Southeast Regional standings, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced today.
Last season's team championship marked the 12th consecutive year that the Lions won the conference title.
Queens of Charlotte took the top spot in the region. Conference foe Lenoir-Rhyne is ranked eighth in the region.
