 ROCK HILL, S.C. - In the 23rd annual Asics Winthrop Invitational meet held Saturday morning at the Winthrop Farm Course, the college division men’s individual champion was Mars Hill’s Kit Powell (Antigo, Wis.). He posted a time of 26:13.98.
In the college division races, Mars Hill earned the men’s title. The Lions scored a team-low of 23 points. Five Lions finished in the top 10. Mars Hill also topped three Division I schools: Winthrop, Wofford and Presbyterian.
 On the women's side, Heidi Hooker (Lawsonville, N.C.) was the top Mars Hill finisher. Running unattached, she finished the 5k race in 22:00.02. The Mars Hill women finished third in the college division with a team score of 95 points.
