 MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's swim team defeated Catawba 151-110 on Saturday. The Catawba women's team defeated the Lions 157-100.
For the men's team, Ed Smith (Blairsville, Ga.) won the 200 Individual Medley, the 100 Freestyle and tied Audley Elder (Waynesville, N.C.) in the 100 Breaststroke. Luke Hoffman (Fort Wayne, Ind.) won the 500 and 1000 Freestyle. PJ Maloney (Corning, N.Y.) won the 200 Butterfly. Mike Wilkes (Lake Placid, Fla.) won the 50 Freestyle. Carson Fackler (Bakersfield, Calif.) won the 200 Backstroke. Audley Elder won the 200 Breaststroke.
On the women's side, Lena Palo (Lexington, S.C.) won the 100 and 200 Freestyle. Katy Sorrels (Canton, N.C.) won 200 Butterfly.
The next meet will be on October 29 at King College. The meet will begin at 6 p.m.
