 BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Mars Hill swim teams defeated King College in a dual meet Thursday night. The men remain unbeaten and move to 3-0 on the season while the women's squad are now 2-1 on the year.
The women won by a 118–81 margin. Nikki Holt led the Lions to victory winning three events. Mars Hill had four swimmers win multiple events. Nikki Holt won the 200 medley relay, 100 fly and the 200 free relay. Lena Palo won the 200 free, 100 free and the 200 free relay. Katy Sorrells won the 200 medley relay, 200 IM and the 100 breast stroke. Rebekah Thomas won the 200 medley relay, 100 back and the 200 free relay.
The men's team defeated King, 143–54. Five swimmers won multiple events for the Lions. Luke Hoffman won the 1000 free and the 500 free. Ed Smith won the 200 individual medley and the 100 breast stroke. Carson Fackler won the 200 free and the 100 back stroke. Mike Wilkes won the 50 free and the 100 free. P.J. Maloney won the 100 fly and the 200 free relay.
The next meet is next Saturday, October 31, at home against Lenoir-Rhyne University and Warren Wilson College. The meet will begin at 12 p.m.
