Kelsi FloraMARS HILL, N.C. - The Lincoln Memorial volleyball team defeated Mars Hill on Tuesday night inside Stanford Arena in three games. The Lady Railsplitters defeated the Lions by scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-18.

Lincoln Memorial improves to 18-5 overall and 8-3 in the South Atlantic Conference. Mars Hill drops to 9-12 overall and 2-10 in the league.

Amanda Horenkamp (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) recorded nine kills, 15 digs, and four service aces for the Lady Railsplitters. Lauren Kiwacka (Tipp City, Ohio) netted three service aces. Alicia MacIntyre (Muncie, Ind.) led the defensive charge with 17 digs.

Laura Ann Huskey (West Henderson, N.C.) and Traci Teague (Ramseur, N.C.) each posted eight kills for Mars Hill. Huskey and Kelsi Flora (Mishawaka, Ind.) each had 14 digs. Flora also had four service aces. Kelly Koziel (New Carlisle, Ind.) had 10 digs. Sarah Paquette (Swannanoa, N.C.) dished out 24 assists.

The Lions committed 10 service errors compared to only two for the Lady Railsplitters.

Mars Hill will host Newberry on Friday night. The match inside Stanford Arena will begin at 7:00 p.m.
