 MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill volleyball team lost to Wingate in three games Saturday afternoon inside Stanford Arena. The Bulldogs defeated the Lions by scores of 25-13, 25-14 and 25-9.
Wingate improves to 14-1 overall, 3-0 in the South Atlantic Conference. Mars Hill drops to 7-4 overall, 1-2 in the SAC.
Lauren Billo (Orland Park, Ill.) and Stormi Gale (Richmond, Texas) each netted 12 kills for the Bulldogs. Maggie Malone (Chicago, Ill.) had 14 digs. Liz Willis (Raleigh, N.C.) registered 19 assists. Amanda Clark (Timberlake, N.C.) had 10 assists.
 Laura Ann Huskey (West Henderson, N.C.) led the way for the Lions with eight kills and seven digs. Jenna Luke (Mishawaka, Ind.) slammed four kills. Rachel Rheinheimer (Elkhart, Ind.) posted six digs. Sarah Paquette (Swannanoa, N.C.) and Becca Smith (Candler, N.C.) each dished out eight assists.
Mars Hill will travel to Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday night. The match will begin at 6:30 p.m.
