GREENVILLE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill men's golf team finished in 11th place after the first day of the Tusculum Invitational. The team fired a total of 314 (+30). The women's team is also in 11th with a total of 372 (+84).
On the men's side, Ryan Moore (Oak Ridge, N.C.), who fired 75 and is +4 on the first day, finished tied for 21st place heading into the final day of competition. Joe Migdal (Ballwin, Mo.) is second on the team after day one of competition. His first round score of 76 left him tied for 34th.
Tusculum College carded a first round 293 (+9) to lead all 12 participating teams.
On the women's side, Chelsey Bond (Ottawa, Canada) carded a first day 87 (+15) to lead all Mars Hill golfers. She is tied for 41st place.
Diedre Biehn (Haddonfield, N.J.) is next in line for Mars Hill. She tallied a first day score of 92 (+20) and is tied for 51st place heading into the final day of competition.
The final round of the Tusculum Invitational will take place beginning on Tuesday morning.
