Scott
Ginn, Head Coach
Ginn is only the second
women’s soccer coach in the history
of the program at Mars Hill that began
in 1992.
Ginn brings 16 years of coaching experience
with him to the program. He was most recently
the Director of Coaching and Player Development
at the Stones River Futbol Club in Smyrna,
TN. Ginn’s last college coaching
position was at Middle Tennessee State
University where he served as the head
coach of the women’s team in 2000
and 2001. Prior to that Ginn was the head
women’s soccer coach at Barton College
(1996-99), assistant women’s soccer
coach at Berry College (1995-96), and
the head soccer coach at Forest Park High
School in Forest Park, GA (1993). He started
his coaching career as an assistant men’s
soccer coach at his alma mater, Atlantic
Christian College from 1990-92. Atlantic
Christian changed their name to Barton
College in 1990.
Ginn holds a National “A”
License from the United States Soccer
Federation and an Advanced National Diploma
from the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America. His camp experience includes
the Stones River Team Training Camps (present);
Director of the Middle Tennessee State
University Soccer Camp (2001); Co-Director
of the Barton College Soccer Camps (1995-99);
University of Florida Soccer Camps (1996-present);
Greensboro Dynamo Soccer Camps (1996-99);
and All-Star Soccer Camps (1990-96).
Ginn played at Atlantic Christian from
1986-89. He was the team’s captain
during his senior campaign. After finishing
his eligibility at Atlantic Christian,
Ginn competed for the Atlanta Amateur
Soccer Division from 1992-96.
Upon accepting the position Ginn stated,
“I am very excited about this opportunity.
I believe Mars Hill’s women’s
soccer program has a lot of potential
and I am looking forward to spring training
and preparing the squad for the upcoming
2003 fall season.”

his competitive nature makes him a perfect
fit for our program”, stated Mars
Hill College Athletic Director David Riggins.
Ginn replaces David Bennett who resigned
from the position in December to pursue
a ministry opportunity in Colorado. Ginn
will began his duties at Mars Hill College
in February.
