Schrecengost, Head Coach
Tom Schrecengost was named as the men
and women's tennis coach at Mars Hill
College in August of 2000.
Tom came to Mars Hill College from Erskine
College in Due West, SC where he served
as the head women's tennis coach for the
past two years. Erskine College is a NCAA
Division II institution and is a member
of the Carolina's Virginia Athletic Conference
(CVAC). He was also the Assistant Tennis
Professional at the Greenville Tennis
Club for the past year.
Tom played tennis at Grove City College
in Grove City, PA. He was an outstanding
player at Grove City and received the
President's Athletic Conference Most Valuable
Player award for his performance during
the 1987 spring season.
Tom graduated from the University of
South Florida with a bachelors degree
in Physical Education in 1991. He then
went on to complete his master's degree
in Physical Education from Northwestern
State University in 1997.
Tom is a native of Mercersburg, PA. Tom
and his wife Kay will reside in Asheville,
NC.
